It’s electroplate by Atkin Brothers of Sheffield (English electroplate silver: marks and hallmarks of British silver plate: Aa-Az). I don’t know the significance of “JN”.

We spend loads of time here going on about the impossibility of dating electroplate and now here is something that can be dated, if only by its inscription.
