Can someone please somehow advise if this is solid silver? NOT silver plated? Or does it look played? It is an Arabic Dallah. No Hallmarks. Appreciate it!
At-home methods for testing silver:
1. Magnet test: Silver is not magnetic. If a magnet strongly attracts the object, it means it is not made of the pure metal.
2. Ice test: Silver is an excellent conductor of heat. Place an ice cube on the silver object—it should melt much faster than it would on ordinary metal.
Unfortunately I am wanting to know before I purchase.
Judging by the number of similar items and their descriptions, I conclude that it is silver.
