Help identifying origin

I have a beautiful silver ring here but am interested to know its origins as the hallmark is on the outside, unhidden. Could anyone help me identify its origin?

I’ll wait. Let’s give others a chance.

I think it’s Danish ring with chrysoprase cabochon.
Sparky, wouldn’t it be tactless to ask where you’re from?
Try taking several consecutive photos from different angles. Maybe some unintelligent artificial intelligence will come to the rescue. :brain:

Hi and thank you! Danish? Any idea what the hallmark stands for? I’m in Canberra, Australia

Bartholomew thank you again for answering my question. Also interested as to why the hallmark is on the external surface…does this indicate anything? I think I’ve seen similar marks before on Eastern European or Russian jewellery?

Hi Sparky! My father lives in Melbourne and has been involved in jewelry and antiques for many years. I can’t answer all your questions because silverware is my hobby, but you can seek help from a jeweler or antiques expert, of which there are many in Australia (especially in Jewish op shops).

Thanks Mate! Much appreciated - I’m heading to Melbourne soon, it would be interesting to visit your dad (if he has a commercial premises) as I have a similar interest in old jewellery etc and actually have quite a lot to offload and would be interested in meeting an expert who could answer my questions on specific hallmarks etc. Would that be possible? Also any idea on how I would find specifically “jewish Op shops”?

U welcome, Sparky! My father is 80 years old and already enjoying a well-deserved retirement. He doesn’t run any businesses—he enjoys his free time and peace of mind.
