Hello everyone ! Please help with identify marks on this tea kettle. Is this kettle sterling silver or silverplate ? I see lion and as I know it means that it is sterling. Thanks in advance.
It’s electroplate, manufactured by the Barbour Silver Co of Hartford, Connecticut.

Hello dear Phil. Thank you I understand but can you explain about lion mark ? As I know lion mark have only sterling silver items. My best regards.
The lion mark (lion passant)is only a guarantee of sterling silver in England - although a different lion mark (lion rampant) is also used in the Scottish hallmarking system on Glasgow-assayed silver. Anyone can use a lion symbol as part of their own trade mark for any purpose.
