Help with Durgin

We have six Durgin Louis XV forks 7&5/8 inches long. But instead of the 1891 they
have 1889. What does this mean in terms of rarity and/or value?

Thanks for any input.

Hi there and thanks for joining us. I looked both in Phil Dreis’ excellend American flatware book and on and do not see any Durgin pattern that was introduced or patented in 1889, so I’m at a loss like you. Take a look at the Louis XV prices for your forks at replacements, remembering their prices tend to be “high retail”
