Help with hallmarks please

Hello , I have found this silver item , possible a brooch but I’m having trouble with reading the hallmarks , the pictures are the best I can do as it’s rather small but any help would’ve very much appreciated.
Thank you for looking .

The marks are, from left to right: maker’s mark, lion passant mark for sterling silver, guild mark for Chester Assay Office, date letter O for the assay year 1914/15.

The maker’s mark is only partial but appears to read “&RG” or “&RC”. From this I am pretty sure that the whole mark should be “J&RG” for Joseph & Richard Griffin, manufacturing silversmiths, of Hylton Street, Birmingham.

Thank you very much , that is most helpful .
