Help with pattern, maker and date

Hello,
Can someone identify the pattern, maker and date for this fork
Marks on the back are very faint but appear to include the lion passant and anchor for birmingham. It is stamped sterling.
Thanks so much
Jill

Hello Jill -

This fork is American- it is the Lancaster pattern by Gorham, first made in 1897. People often confuse Gorham’s mark with English silver from Birmingham because both contain a lion and an anchor. Right after the anchor should be a letter “G” in gothic script.

Lisa,
Thanks …again for helping me with identification of my antique silver. This has become a fascinating hobby. I am learning a lot .
There is …just as you said, the letter “G” in gothic script after the anchor!
Thank you.
