Hi can anyone help with identifying the sponsor mark? And dating this stunning necklace.
The hallmark appears to be for London, 1978. But I can’t find the B&S maker’s mark anywhere. But based on what Phil has said about the spotty registration of maker’s marks in the latter part of the 20th Century, that’s not surprising.

I suppose that’s possible, but the mark doesn’t really match the one shown on Bentley & Skinner’s site. Notice the smaller ampersand (about halfway down the page):
I agree looking at the site but that stamp is dated 2019 onwards
Is there any early stamp markers marks by Bentley and skinner around 1957 ? Overtime they tend to change?
Maker’s marks are often poorly documented. You’d probably have to contact B&S directly, or the London assay office.
Yeah worth a try with there name attached to the necklace will definitely help it sell. They make stunning bespoke items and this is a very well made quality piece in its design.
