This is a Chester hallmark for 1892. The sword & wheatsheaves is the Chester town Mark, I is the date code for the assay year 1892/93 and the lion passant indicates sterling silver (925/1000). JF is the maker of your watch case but I cannot identify him positively. Although there is a published version of the Chester Assay Office Register, this JF mark does not appear in it. A couple of other JFs are in, but with different marks: John Fleckner and Joseph Feltham were both watchcase makers from Coventry, which was one of the main centres for watch case manufacture. It is possible that either of these could have used this unregistered mark.
