Hoping to identify hallmarks, quite old/not British

Hello! This little box came in a group of antique items from France. Included were some British silver, palais royal and other French pieces, and what seems to be an ottoman snuff box(badly damaged, poorly repaired).

This piece however, no matter how many hours I spend searching haven’t been able to identify. I’m hoping someone here will recognize the hallmarks. There are 2 crowns and letters on the bottom interior and another little mark on the bottom exterior. I found a site with 2 similar objects describing them as “Early 18th-century French silver spice rack”, but it didn’t show detailed pictures/hallmarks. Thanks in advance for any help!

I see two crowns and initials V.F (VE?). I think it’s German Hanau.

Try to gently clean the area with the signatures and then post the photo.

Interesting, thanks for the info. It could either be VE or VF, but the stamp itself is not very clear. I did go over the marks with a polishing cloth before taking the picture and these were the best I could get. Due to the location and small size of the object, the marks are difficult to capture.

I still have not found an example of the exact crown. Considering other examples of these, I was leaning towards Dutch or Belgian but German also seems like a good possibility. Thank you.
