It’s approximately 102 years old. It has the sponsor’s (or maker’s) mark of Napper & Davenport, a Birmingham company. It has a Birmingham sterling silver hallmark with the date letter w for the assay year 1921/22.
You certainly weren’t overcharged for it but bear in mind that its weight probably also includes some filling, probably a resin of some sort, in order to help it to stand with a candle stuck in the top.
