Irish Silver, possibly

As well as being a volunteer researcher I am also a family historian (no relation to the Stewarts) and t never fails to amaze me how generous people are with their time and sharing their knowledge.

A huge thank you to those who commented.

Athenree House, The home of Hugh and Adela Stewart is just a short drive from where I live in Katikati. It opens to the public regularly serving tea and scones. There is a small publication by Adela Stewart called my Simple Life in New Zealand https://digitalnz.org/records/42722967

The George Vesey Stewart Memorial is close by too, just a short walk frm where I live.

Two Katikati has Streets named for ships that brought settler, Carisbrooke Street an Jocelyn Street.

There is a new book of the history of Katikati and district**, “Katikati: From First Peoples to the Present Day”,** was released late last year

Rarely does an inquiry about a piece of 19th century silver lead to such an interesting discussion about the world it became a part of. Thank you.
