London 1839? City mark erased

And again (one last after this one )
Another pair of mustard spoons with king pattern. On one of them, the city mark is erased and I’m not sure why… broken and repaired? Or the mark has been « stolen » to be welded on a bigger item?? Is it London 1839??
Big thanks to all!

There appears to be distortion in the area of the erased leopard’s head mark - most likely a repair. The silversmith managed to reproduce the moulded lines but, wisely, did not attempt the leopard’s head.

Thanks Phil! Is the date correct?
