This is my inherited silver trumpet vase. I am aware that the essay mark is a London import mark… but I just can’t seem to find who the maker might be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The importer’s / sponsor’s mark is that of F B Thomas & Co of New Bond Street, London. The initials are those of the partners in the company, Charles Henry Townley & John William Thomas (lucky that both surnames began with T). Note that as it is an import and there are (I assume) no other marks we cannot name the maker, nor even the country of manufacture.

Thank you kindly for your input Phil.
The family has relatives in the USA in the early 1900’s so that was my uneducated guess. So the sponsor ordered it from the original (overseas) maker?
Thanks again, much appreciated. I’ve been searching for ages!
