British Silver Reading Silver Hallmarks

can you please help with these marks they are so small it is almost imposable to get a realy good picture

and i also have a pair of earings which i am sure are gold but the mark seems to be a silver mark, although i have read that Portuguese gold is sometimes marked 800.

i know its not clear so i will try and explain the markings on the first one,
the 1st mark is a shield with the letters j m, the 2nd is a lion the 3rd is a leopard,and the last one is the letter s.
