My Grandmothers silver teapot!!

Can anyone tell me anything about this teapot (other than its for making tea!!)

Is it valuable?

Rough Estimate?

Anybody interested?

here are some pics and pics of the markings on the underside.

Hi Jo, welcome to

Your Grandmothers teapot is silver plated, the marks are that of George Shadford Lee & Henry Wigfull, of Sheffield. That mark was first used in 1871, and changed in 1898, so it must have been made during this period, I would guess from around 1890 looking at the style.

I’m sorry to say that silver plated teapots are not particularly valuable, so it would probably be worth around £30-£50.

Hope that helps,
Best regards
