Mystery Date Letter On Cufflinks

this:

Hi everyone,

I came across a pair of vintage Henry Griffith & Sons (HG&S) engine-turned chain-link cufflinks stamped for the Birmingham office.

The seller lists them as 1965 with a date letter ‘Q’, but notes that the stamp looks like a number ‘2’. Am I correct in assuming this is actually a weakly struck lowercase ‘m’ from the 1961 Birmingham cycle?

I didn’t think Henry Griffith was producing heavy volumes of this specific pattern past the very early 60s restructuring.

Thank you so much, I don’t know how I managed to miss that when I looked at the date letters.
