This appears to be a partial Birmingham hallmark (anchor and lion passant missing) from the date letter cycle 1875 to 1899, possibly “c” (1877) or “e” (1879). The duty mark precludes any date after 1889. Partial hallmarks were used on multi-part items so the other parts of the hallmark will have been on the other part of the piece.
