I bought this spoon for $2 to make a ring but all markings are faded. Only letters I see are PLA. I’m assuming it’s plated but heres a picture of it. I love it and would like to know more about it.

Take some closeup photos of whatever marks are still there - we might be able to decipher them. Even the vague remnants of a true U.K. sterling hallmark might be enough to conclude that it’s not electroplate, even if there’s not enough info to pin down a date or a maker.
