This is my first post so I appreciate any help you can offer.
I have this small silver bowl with a shield mark. The shield appears to have a lion rampant to the top left and then a repeated pattern within the shield.
I think it may be Scottish but any help appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
The mark is probably the armorial of the owner and has no relevance to the maker.
Thanks Phil, appreciate the reply.
Given there are no other marks, can I assume the bowl isn’t silver?
With no other marks it is unlikely to be silver - probably electroplated as it looks as if it tarnishing like silver.
Ok, thank you again Phil for taking the time.
