Had this in our family for some time now, and only just found it again. Please could somebody help identify what it is and possibly how old the item is?
This is an electroplate mark of William Hutton & Sons of Sheffield. The Old English lettering at the end is BP for Britannia Plate; i.e. electroplated Britannia metal. It probably dates to the very late 19th or early 20th century.
