Hello - We have inherited thias quaich from our Welsh/Scottish mother, and we are trying to identify the hallmarks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. There seems to be two Ws, a Welsh Lion, a cat of some sorts, and a q.
W&W is Wakely & Wheeler, a well-known silversmith company. The other 3 marks are the hallmark: lion passant for sterling silver, uncrowned leopard’s head for London, and date letter q for the assay year 1971/72.
