I was given several thimbles, they were my Nans’. One seems to be silver but has no proper hallmarks, I have managed to find on the WWW thimble holders that look similar with the ‘loop’, as on a chatelaine. There are engraved numbers inside, they are quite clear but some of it is worn, the inside is very shiny like it may be silver. Hope you can make something out of the pictures and can tell me what it is made of. Many Thanks, Anne.
