Strange french mark

I bought this French napkin ring, but am unsure what the strage mark inside is. There are three marks, one (outside) for 950 silver (minerva) the other is the maker (C.D?) and there is a third mark inside. I would love to know the maker and date, and i would like to know what the third mark inside is? Could it have been marked outside in 1838 when assay laws in France changed? Is it an older mark inside? And who is the maker? Thanks so much in advance

Hi there,
Is the third mark on the opposite side of the minerva mark?

If so, it is the opposite side of when the other side was marked. In France the anvil had to have a range of marks that would appear as a counter stamp to minerva.

Cheers,
Ben
