The mark reads “W & H S” for Walker & Hall, Sheffield.

Hi Can you tell me what the numbers mean please . there is a 97 above the hallmarks and 1317 below the England. Thank you
They are Walker & Hall’s own numbering system whose meaning has been lost, although 1317 may be a pattern number.
