Tiffany & Co Silver teacup and saucer

Hi

I am new here and quite new to silver collecting.

My latest acquisition and pride and joy is a solid silver teacup as below. Quite weighty (318g) and I think 19th C, judging by a very similar that I saw on the internet: bexfield.co.uk/05/g060.htm

I was just wondering whether anyone on here could shed any further light on it, such as it’s vintage, what the numbers mean and perhaps approx value. I paid £300 for it.

it is stamped Tiffany & Co, 2309M 10005, Sterling Silver.

Many thanks,
David

Thanks, that’s really useful! It looks like between 1873 and 1875 then,
