I am having difficulty in dating this walker and hall silver plate serving dish please can anyone enlighten me. It also has 57 stamped on it
Electroplate cannot normally be dated. However a very few companies used their own private date-coding system and W&H were among that number. Unfortunately the date code is the letter in the mark between S and the flag and you don’t show it sufficiently clearly for it to be read. The shape of the mark puts the date between 1929 and 1952.
