I am new to this forum.
I have this Unusual Silver fish with crossed snakes .its been tested for silver but not sure of the purity. this is very eye catching piece.
Would like to know the worth of this unusual piece.the item weighs around 75grams
the hallmarks are in the eyes and mouth of the fish
I can see a duck ,and V or ^ a dot and a line.(this is marked on feet under the fish)
and another mark like a half moon.it does appear on the snake body too.
I was told this is of middle eastern origin.pre 1940.
and is this just a decorative piece or meant for something else?
Any help with the origin/usage/worth is highly appreciated.
