William Adams E.P.C England-Serving Platter With Lid-

I have recently acquired this piece and I don’t know any thing about it.
It says William Adams E.P.C. Made in England 89C on the back.
It is 11.5" long by 8" wide.
When was it produced?
Is it silver plate?
Approximate value?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Yes, it’s silver plate so it has no intrinsic value (no silver content). Current value depends on plating condition but at best it has utility or decorative value only.

Thanks so much for the quick response. I figured it was probably plated due to its weight. The plating still looks pretty good other then a few minor scratches on the lid. I do love the fine detail work around the lid.
Thanks again!
