Information on this Silver jug please

Hi. I have inherited some items and this jug is amongst them. Ive tried to search the hallmarks but I can’t seem to find anything. I’m just wondering if anyone can give me any information about this item please?

Your jug (possibly a coffee pot) is not silver so the marks are manufacturer’s marks not hallmarks. The 3 marks on the right are D & S for Deykin & Sons of Birmingham and the other 2 marks are their trademarks of a fleur de lis and a man in a gondola (their address was Venetian Works, Birmingham). The company was active from 1854 to 1895 when they became Deykin & Harrison. Your pot probably dates to the latter part of that period.

Thank you so much for that information. I didn’t know anything about it at all. Do you know if it would be worth anything at all?

Electroplate is generally not worth very much as there is no appreciable silver content. In addition value is very dependent on the condition of the electroplate so any wear will damage the value.

In perfect condition and nicely polished you’re probably looking at around £15.
