hi everyone i have a lovely old pocket watch, ( working very well ) but can not work out age on cases, it has what looks like a leopard head but has a different crown then the one i can find, the watch i believe is Georgian period and the date the U doesn’t look right for the date, the maker ??? . the watch movement has the name Richard Harris from guildhurst any info will help.

The date letter is completely correct - it’s upper case U for 1815/16. The case maker’s mark is IR for James Richards.
