In clearing up my mother’s estate I found a brooch that i would like some help with. I think it was assayed in Chester, but I cannot read the date letter.
Hi,The date letter on your brooch is for 1936/37. in the year that Edward V111 became King and abdicated. The maker is Shipton & Co Ltd (1935-1958) at Spencer St Birmingham workshop. Hope this info is of some help.
