Could anyone venture a guess on how much this set is worth? I bought them from a guy with the intentions of melting them down but they might be worth keeping. They are hallmarked 1866 Birmingham, sterling silver with the monarch’s head and GU for George Unite. The interesting part is the bird on all of the mother of pearl handles. Comparing them to other sets, they are in excellent shape.

I sold them on ebay a few weeks back. I just couldn’t find any information on them so they went fairly cheap.
