Hi Simon.
Sorry to say your marks do not actually mean what you think. The mark K & P followed by a crown and the letter G, was the silver plate mark of a company called Kleinwort & Peerless, who were based in London. The mark was registered in 1895 and used until 1897 when they changed the crown to a fleur de lys.
The stamped number would have been used as a reference number so that a shop could re order the same design from the manufacturer.
