18th Century Danish West Indies Coined Beaker, help to ID the maker?

Glad I came across this website it had been of tremendous help. I hope to once again ID the maker of this amazing beaker. The coins are from the Danish West Indies and I hope that helps to ID the maker mark. It looks to be either PP or DP. One coin is dated 1763. Also has letters engraved at the top and I haven’t been able to figure out what they mean yet. Thanks a ton.

It’s a difficult subject, but I’ll try to help somehow. I just need time…

Coins and dates:

I think “PP” is maker’s mark.

After several hours of searching, I am unable to determine the craftsman’s details. I am sorry because I do not like to give up. In this case, I am helpless, but I count on the help of my worthy colleagues.

Take a look at the photos of the bottoms of both vessels… Interesting.

I have an update, I reached out to Bukowski auction house who has sold similar pieces. They sent me this maker mark from a Danish book. The mark looks very good however the coin dates don’t seem to make sense? If he was born in 1668 then the coin from 1763 wouldn’t make sense… unless someone added the coins later on? What do you think?

The coins were added later.

Thanks for you time! Finding these makers from such old pieces is always rewarding. Is it normal for coins to be added later for pieces like this? I assume the cup was made circa 1700 and then the coins after some time?
