Hey everyone. Can you help me understand if this ring is silver and if so, what kind?i thought it wasnt because it looked oxydated but it cleaned up very well.

Might that mark be 925, rather than 729? If so, that would indicate that it’s sterling - 92.5% pure silver (near-100% pure silver isn’t used for most objects - too soft).
