Another odd hallmark with no town

I “re-found” this spoon today and gave it a quick cleanIt is missing the town mark but it appears to have duty mark thistle and the lower case d for 1835
The maker is FH which I thought was the Edinburgh maker Francis Howden
Will someone please allay my doubts and identify my small spoon

Lack of a town mark is not unusual for this period. It seems to have been common on smaller articles. This, as you suggested, is an Edinburgh mark with the date letter “d” for 1809 and the maker’s mark of Francis Howden.
