Hi all I was wondering if any one could tell me more about the markings on this tea set and also where it was made and by whom.
Your electroplated tea set (it’s not silver) looks as if it has 3 different manufacturers. Your first mark picture has the initials of James Ballantyne & Son of Glasgow (J B & S G). The second and third show the mark of Thomas Champion & Son of Sheffield together with EP BM for electroplated Britannia metal. And your last picture looks as if it is going to “Viking Plate” over “Made in Canada”. Viking Plate is a trade name of Lipman-Levinter Industries Ltd, formerly Lipman Brothers, of Toronto, who were active in the 1920s and 1930s.

It is silver it is tarnished and needs polishing.
Sorry the tea pot, cream and sugar dish are what I was asking for the last picture was actually a tray did not mean to put in.
I am sorry, you are wrong. The marks which you show are electroplate marks. Electroplate of course has a layer of pure silver on the surface so polishing will certainly make it look much better.
