Asian Tongs

Hello Everyone,

I was hoping I could get some help with the history of this piece. I’m not sure it’s silver, as it seems to have a gold/bronze colored coating. The little square hallmarks on the lower shanks have roman silhouettes with Centurian style helmets.

And the Hallmark on the inside top has these symbols: PAΩ It may or may not have an I under the Alpha character.

If you have any information about this item I would be grateful. I am mostly curious why an item with Asian engraving on it would have Roman Catholic Hallmarks.

Thanks Again!
