I have a Bennewitz silver platter that I am having difficulty finding out the value. It also has a “C”.
It depends on the weight to some degree. This looks to be first standard Netherlands silver, 934 fineness, a little higher than sterling. I’d look for sold items on eBay from this maker to get a better idea of the value. Make sure to select worldwide in your search.
Thank you, there is for the first time a Bennewitz silver piece listed on Ebay for me to actually look at. They usually are listed only on Sotherby or Christy auction sites. I am just trying to not get scammed on the sale. It weighs a little over 30 oz. Thank you for your response.
