Birmingham 1918 Sterling Silver Help is Makers Mark

I cant quite work out the Makers Mark on this Napkin ring

So I know its Birmingham 1918 Sterling Silver, but help identifying the maker would be appreciated.

Also is the engraving an F?

It looks like the top part of the mark of C S Green & Co:
CSG+Co-CSGreenAndCo

If it is then I cannot explain where the rest of the mark has gone to. The engraved letter is definitely F.

Thanks, Phil, yes I"m not sure where the rest of the mark may have gone. I’ll do a bit more research now that I have a name thank you.

I think it is an english L

It sounds to me as if the participants would like to know where the rest of the maker’s mark disappeared to. I firmly believe the lines were impressed on the item AFTER the marks were punched. In the case of the maker’s mark, which is frequently more lightly punched, the lines obliterated the lower half. The lion and the anchor remained untouched due to their punch depth. One of the deeper lines impressed itself on the “t”. The reason why the lines were impressed after the hallmarking may never be known.
