Any Brand-Chatillon or Friedman silver / silverplate experts? (I know it’s not sterling)
Not concerned about value necessary. I just want to know why this pair of candlesticks have BOTH the Friedman silverplate stamp AND the text stamp for “Brand-Chattillon Co. Inc.” ???
So confused! Both located in New York in the early 1900s, but I cannot find a single other piece that has both of these stamps. And zero information on possibly one of the company’s buying out the other at some point? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
