Hi, I got this pin in a bin of costume jewelry and I have been trying to identify it. I magnified the markings and I believe the S is worn off for Scotland but the other markings I can not figure out. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!
That’s an Edinburgh sterling silver hallmark with the date letter G for the assay year 1962/63 and a maker’s (or sponsor’s) mark TE for T K Ebbutt Ltd (a company founded by Thomas Kerr Ebbutt around 1900) of Edinburgh.
