This date letter I for Chester is 1892. W.G’s mark is impressed on a sample Chester Assay Office plate but is unfortunately unidentifiable due to a missing register. From its position on the plate its registration date is estimated at c1893.

Silver always has some value, if only for scrap, but the value of a pocket watch is highly dependent on condition - if it works it has more value than if it doesn’t. Check eBay’s completed auctions for something comparable to your watch.
