Confused: Says Sterling but also CU/AG and 925(10)

Hi Everyone,
Is this sterling or Copper/Silver plate or what? The narkings say Imperial Sterling but also CU/AG which I suppose means copper/silver and 925(10) which I’m guessing means 10 microns of silver plating thickness? If so, why would it say sterling? Isn’t that misleading?

Thanks,
Doug

It’s likely the “Imperial Sterling” is the name of the manufacturer.

Thanks, Phil. Sorry for my late reply. So would you agree that the rest of the symbols mean that this is Copper with a 10 micron layer of silver plating on it?
