Does anyone know anything about the London maker Corke & Apthorp? I am particularly interested to know about their silver post 1945? The attached images are of a 1953 box by them which has a very distinctive modern stlye I am trying to find more about. Thank you
I’m not sure that they had any sort of history after 1945. Although I have a record of a 1946 hallmark in conjunction with their mark I cannot find any entries in telephone directories after 1929. In fact they were a Birmingham company, listed as manufacturing silversmiths at 12 Legge Lane, Birmingham.
