Hi forum, anyone can provide some help here? This is difficult to identify, I see a bird that looks like a crow also a kind of ''XS". No any grade . I have edited a picture in black and white.
Unknown origin, this is with the family (mariners, so this could come from anywhere) for ages.
Any help very much appreciated !
It’s from Portugal, Silver 833 and the bird is a eagle.

This type of mark was in use between 1886-1938, but in the mark I have found there was II on the mark and not 833?
II to show 833 silver was used until 1937, 833 was used thereafter.

Looking now, I recognize that this piece was made in the city of Porto, in the period 1938 - 1984. If you look at the hallmarks of large works, you will get the same reading.
