Edinburgh Silversmith early 19th Century

Alexander Dick born Edinburgh was apprenticed firstly 21 Nov1814 with James Mackenzie and changed three days later to Charles Dalgleish.

After he completed his apprenticeship, and before 1825, was he in business with any other Edinburgh silversmiths?
Suggestions are that he may have been in business with ROBERTSON eg (Dick & Robertson) or McPherson (Dick & McPherson).

Grateful for any assistance.

The Dick of Dick & Robertson was William Dick and the partnership dates are given as 1796-1800 [ref: Edinburgh Incorporation of Goldsmiths web site] so no connection there. William Dick was then in partnership with McPherson until 1812 [same reference] so once again no connection. Have you seen the potted biography of Alexander Dick on that same site?

Thankyou for responding so quickly and providing useful information on Alexander Dick in Scotland. Also for suggesting the website for Edinburgh Incorporation of Goldsmiths. I was unaware of it.
