Forbes Silver Co Butter Dish

I have a silver butter dish made by Forbes Silver Co with the round engraving on the bottom with the eagle head and the number 517 out to the side. I was wondering as to the value of it. Includes the bottom, center plate, top and matching knife.

Hi there and thanks for joining us. Forbes was formed in 1894 as a division of the Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden, Connecticut for silverplating holloware. It was one of the original companies that combined to form the International Silver Co. in the late 1890s. Your butter dish is silverplated and of little monetary value. But it is over 100 years old, of nice quality, so use it and enjoy!
