Forbes Silver Co

I have a tea set. Platter. tea pot, creamer and sugar. It was my gran dmothers wedding present around the first of the 1900’s. It is marked Forbes Silver Co. Quadruple plate 633. Does anyone know the value of this? Thank you

Hi there Nancy and thanks for joining us. Forbes Silver Co. was formed in Meriden, Connecticut in about 1894 to make silverplated holloware such as your tea set. It was one of the original companies that merged in 1898 to form the International Silver Co. which continued to use the Forbes trademarks thereafter. American silver plated goods such as this have little commercial value. Find some similar silver plated sets on eBay and watch them through the “completed auctions” to see what they are actually selling for.

Regards,

Uncle Vic

Thank you so much. Nancy
